Who we are

Gabs and Maps Multi-Purpose (Pty) Ltd. provides technology-enabled facility management and industrial support services from Rustenburg, North West, South Africa. For purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), we act as the responsible party when we decide how and why personal information is processed.

Information we collect

We may collect information that you provide when you contact us, request a quotation, apply for a position, engage us as a supplier or client, or otherwise communicate with us. This may include your name, contact details, organisation, job title, enquiry details, CV and employment information, supplier or procurement information, and correspondence.

When you visit our website, limited technical information may also be processed, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and basic usage data.

How we use your information

We process personal information only where there is a lawful reason to do so. This may include responding to enquiries, preparing quotations, managing business relationships, delivering contracted services, evaluating applications, meeting legal and regulatory obligations, maintaining site security, preventing fraud, and improving our website and operations.

Cookies and website data

Essential features support security, reliability, form submission and your cookie preferences. If you allow optional cookies, configured Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager tools may measure campaign visits, contact-button clicks and successful enquiries. Optional Google tags are blocked until you choose “Allow optional”. You can decline them or change your choice using Cookie settings. We do not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers or enquiry messages as analytics event parameters. Campaign links may include source information; advertising click identifiers are included with an enquiry only after optional consent.

Sharing personal information

We do not sell personal information. Contact and Industrial Facility Readiness Review enquiries are stored using Netlify Forms so our team can respond. If optional measurement is enabled and accepted, Google processes relevant campaign measurement data. We may share information with trusted service providers, professional advisers, regulators, public authorities, clients or business partners where this is necessary for a legitimate business purpose, required by law, or authorised by you. Service providers are expected to protect the information and use it only for the agreed purpose.

Cross-border processing

Some technology or service providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the information receives an appropriate level of protection as required by POPIA.

Security and retention

We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, interference, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to meet contractual requirements, or to comply with legal and record-keeping obligations. Information is then securely deleted, destroyed or de-identified where appropriate.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold your personal information, request access to or correction of it, object to certain processing, request deletion where lawful, or withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. We may need to verify your identity before actioning a request.

You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator if you believe your personal information has been handled unlawfully.
